A useful RFQ should describe the device and imaging task, not only request a camera with a certain resolution. The fastest evaluations happen when the customer provides the application, maximum camera-head dimensions, viewing direction, working distance, field of view, resolution and frame rate, lighting, shell, cable, connector, host platform, sample quantity and schedule. SincereFull's catalog covers 0.9-12.5 mm directions, USB, Type-C, AV, WiFi-related boards, integrated and separated structures, side and dual view, long cable, steel shell and different resolution classes. Clear project information allows the supplier to identify a realistic standard direction or explain what requires customization.
State whether the device is for medical visualization, industrial inspection, pipe or cavity inspection, automotive maintenance, veterinary equipment, dental or oral imaging, NDT or another use. Describe what the operator must see and whether the camera is used for navigation, recording, defect inspection or image analysis.
· Maximum finished camera-head diameter
· Maximum front rigid length
· Available PCB or DSP-board space
· Insertion-channel size and bend radius
· Cable exit direction and strain-relief requirement
· Bare module, plastic structure or steel shell
· Waterproof or washable structure requirements
· Smallest feature that must be visible
· Working distance and depth-of-field range
· Required field of view
· Direct-view, side-view or multiple views
· Required resolution and frame rate
· Still-image, live preview or recording priority
· Expected target materials and reflectivity

Explain whether the device needs integrated LEDs, how brightness should be controlled and whether it already has an external light source. Mention hardware buttons, software dimming, recording controls or other functions. Do not assume these features are included in every standard model.
· Sample quantity and target date
· Expected annual or monthly volume
· Prototype, verification or mass-production stage
· Required drawings, image samples or software support
· Acceptance criteria for image, dimensions and cable
· Target market and any device-level compliance planning
We are developing a handheld industrial cavity-inspection device. The finished camera head must be no larger than 6.0 mm and should provide forward 1080P60 video through USB. The camera will inspect metallic surfaces at approximately 20-80 mm. We need integrated LEDs with adjustable brightness, a 2 m cable and a steel-shell direction suitable for wet inspection. The host is a Windows-based embedded PC. Please recommend a standard or near-standard configuration for five prototype samples and advise which parameters require project evaluation.
Is a model number enough for an RFQ?
No. A model family may have different lens, cable, connector, shell, LED or firmware options. Include the actual project requirement so the supplier can confirm whether the requested configuration is standard or customized.
Should the customer specify a sensor model?
A preferred sensor can be included, but the imaging task and mechanical limits are more important. The requested sensor may not fit the target diameter or interface. Allow the supplier to propose alternatives when necessary.
How should waterproof requirements be described?
State the real environment: occasional splash, wet cavity, cleaning, immersion depth or pipe inspection. Do not only write waterproof. The shell, sealing, cable and final device assembly determine the appropriate evaluation.
What if the final working distance is unknown?
Provide the best estimated range and target-object size. Working distance affects lens, focus, field of view and illumination. It should be tested during the prototype stage rather than left undefined until tooling.
Why is the host platform required?
The interface, power, video format, driver behavior and application software depend on the host. A camera that works on a PC may not behave the same on an Android device or embedded board.
Can an RFQ ask for multiple options?
Yes. It is useful to request a compact option, a higher-detail option or integrated and separated alternatives. Keep the application and constraints constant so the supplier can explain the trade-offs clearly.
Note: This article is for device design and camera module selection reference. Final medical device compliance should be evaluated according to the target market, application and applicable regulations.
Use the checklist above when contacting SincereFull. A complete RFQ helps the engineering and sales teams identify an existing product direction, reduce repeated clarification and prepare a more useful sample plan.
